Last saturday, I took part of a tough challenge of my colleague Nelu, called “Cycling trips” more exactly to go cycling with other mates to “Dinogetia Citadel” from Tulcea.

Obviously, we not all have bikes for this tour of “Cycling trips” and we rented 6 from Bike Boutique for only 20 lei / day. The bikes were reasonable, even though they were a little old fashioned, but it works very well. The distance that we had to cover was 10 km to the citadel – 10 km back. It wasn’t so much but after we had returned I was feeling a little tired.

After we all gathered at the Thecon headquarters around 11:00; we took the ferry at 12 o’clock (4 ron) and we crossed the Danube river, in approximately 10 min.
Around 13:00 we were to the citadel, we took some pictures, also a tour of it and not the least a LIVE made by my colleague Munteanu Bogdan. The cost for visiting the citadel is only 2 ron. The structure of the citadel you can see below:

We went back to Galati, sooner than we expected and at 14:30 the ferry returned to Galati. After we returned in the Galati we stopped for beer and some food at the “Popasul de la Dunare” restaurant.
It was an amazing cycling trip and I can’t wait for the next one with my colleague Nelu in charge.
